Compact Claustrophobia Reviews

This is the first modpack I've ever "finished" (I stopped after I broke out of the bedrock box).
It’s been a while since I’ve actually “beaten” this modpack, so this is more of a retrospective rather than a hot-off-the-press review, but Compact Claustrophobia gave me a similar feeling of nostalgia that playing Minecraft beta as a kid gave me for some reason.
In terms of progression, it is one of the most innovative packs I have ever played and every step of the way to completion felt like an engaging puzzle to solve. It’s grindy enough to make you stay a while, but not grindy enough to make you feel like you’re doing chores if you play your cards right. Additionally, every time the modpack started to become a bit tedious, there would be a perfectly placed breakthrough tech (e.g. bigger compact machine or better way to make previous compact machines) that allowed you to do previous things in a much easier fashion which helped tremendously to keep me playing. I haven’t finished the final completionist chapter yet, but from what I’ve heard the pack falls off hard after you break the bedrock box (as someone else said, literally a useless DLC) so I’ll count my run as complete because that was my goal all along. The pack has a clear end goal and is a good challenge to sink over 100 hours of time into.
First pack I've actually finished
Extremely good modpack, but the endgame feels like a useless DLC. Loved it tho
Unique modpack
Good pack, offer an unique challenge. Disappointing endgame though.
Unique progression
1. Chapter “Compact claustrophobia” – 8/10. Unique idea. Why ex nihilo?
2. Chapter “Infinity tiny space” – 10/10 Best chapter with the most unique progression. Poop power? Yes please
3. Chapter “Unlimited Dimensions” 8/10 A lot of grind, but not quests
4. Final chapter “Extreme Agoraphobia” 1/10. 6 cringe quests. Fly to the moon, to mars, to venus, no,
thanks
Other chapters is 3/10
Final score for quest progression is 7/10. Very good start and cringe end. Pls add more quest to final stage. Where is my quest rewards?

This pack traumatized me
I’ve now been psychologically conditioned to build every base as small as possible because of this pack.
This was actually surprisingly one of my friendgroups favorite packs. It’s been a few years since I’ve played it so I’m not sure how much I can comment on, but I will go ahead and spoil one of my favorite features, as I’m not sure how it was done and it’s someting I’ve never seen anywhere else.
Upon each chapter completion there will be a “bonus quest” which usually gave pretty decent rewards, they’ll have you || teleporting to a special dimension with minigame like mechanics. ||
|| Such as: a parkour world, a timed expert survival world, puzzles, and more. ||
It’s super inventive and I love the way this one mechanic gives you a lil break from the confusing monotony of progressing in an tiny houser’s skyblock.
Unique and fun
If you’re new to modded Minecraft and looking for a challenging experience, then the Compact Claustrophobia modpack is an excellent choice. This modpack is designed to push players to their limits by placing them in confined spaces.
Compact Claustrophobia runs incredibly smoothly, even on lower-end systems. This means that you can focus on the gameplay without worrying about lag or crashes.
In terms of aesthetics, Compact Claustrophobia is decent, but not exceptional. The modpack’s focus on cramped spaces means that there isn’t much room for elaborate builds or landscapes.
The balance of Compact Claustrophobia is also worth mentioning. While the modpack is challenging, it never feels unfair or impossible. Players are given enough resources and tools to survive, but they will need to be clever and strategic in terms of space management.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Compact Claustrophobia modpack to anyone who is new to modded Minecraft and looking for a thrilling, challenging experience. With its excellent performance and solid balance, this modpack is sure to provide a few hours of entertainment.
