I will not lie about anything in this review. This is the best modpack i’ve ever played. Not only does it have absolutely insane graphics, but the general playloop is good, and the amount of fun you can have with friends is crazy. I love this modpack. If there’s anything bad i have to say about it, it’s probably that i don’t have friends to play this with, it’s a little laggy, and the updates take a while (but are worth the wait). The progression is very good, starting by looting houses, moving on to making bases and factories, and ending by curing the infection.

Game, peak. Gameplay, peak. Aesthetics, awesome. Performance awesome.

Its a super well made pack, and the beginning is perfect for those wanting to just survive and have fun in a zombie apocalypse. Midgame onwards does require tech for the guns and bullets, but the tech is pretty fun and you can make factories essentially to mass-produce weaponary. It does tend to get a little laggy during horde nights, and I’ve had a bomber demolish my base one too many times, but I still had a lot of fun.

I dont tend to finish minecraft modpacks not for lack of liking them, but more so attention span. Deceasedcraft is one of the few i finished and i had a blast pretty much the entire time playing it. The experience is very much different from normal minecraft. You can find most of what you need just looting and ransacking and the movement makes it fun to bounce your way through cities. Minecraft looter with guns works surprisingly well. There isnt a super extensive questbook but there doesnt need to be.

The only issue i really have with it is the wastelands. The main building you have to find in there has an absurd number of enemies spawning, with block breaking capabilities and going through that entire building my FPS was crippled. Powerpoint levels of frame rate. I also found the (spoilers ahead) dimension at the end very lacking and just uninteresting, so it just kind of dropped the ball at the end of the modpack. However it was still fun, it just wasn’t as captivating as the beginning. Overall a super fun modpack to play, even more so with friends!

This modpack is my favorite modpack of all time. There is simply no other zombie modpack out there that reaches the level of quality Deceased Craft has. Although this is a great modpack, it has its flaws when it comes to performance & the official server.

Performance at times is horrendous, with a 4060; sometimes I average 20-30 fps out in the wild for seemingly no reason. As for the official server (hosted by CluckMC) it is a terrible mismanaged mess. The owner of the server (for clarity, this individual is not affiliated in any way shape, or form to official decisions regarding the modpack despite his server hosting service being endorsed & advertised in game and on the mod page) horribly manages his servers and often acts immaturely. There has been several times where the owner of this network has threatened to shut down the pvp server over small arguments that users have, which he blows way out of proportion. The pvp server for this modpack as of right now has been completely abandoned because the owner of the hosting service “doesn’t want to deal with the drama,” which was people simply making tickets. It has also been stated that there will be no PVP server for the upcoming 6.0 update. I feel as though this modpack is especially unique as its the only popular modpack that I know of that has an official PvP server, and this modpack especially thrives with a multiplayer pvp experience. It saddens me that the endorsed server host can get away with throwing that aspect of the modpack away without consulting with the owner of the modpack.

I’ve been playing this game for a while now, seeing the updates that are coming are making me super excited to see how things will go!
