The Twilight Forest Reviews
Great mod
Adds an original dimension with a cool way of entering it. It is still unfinished but is already extremely cool! I did not find andy bugs, the only issue in my opinion is the last bossfight place (unfinished atm) is really laggy on low end PCs. I really like the music and all the structures.

Amazing Mod but..
This is mod is amazing I love the bosses and progression system, I’m glad the developers are able to keep it up to date with the latest versions, but not much major content has been added in a while. I understand that they want to spruce up all existing content before they add any new major pieces of content, however it’s gotten quite stale.
Excelent mod
A lot of bosses and stuff to do, saddly even after all these years, the mod hasn’t been changed one bit but at least is being ported to newer versions
Great mod with its original concept
It’s a great mod that adds its own dimension that is full of content with cool boss fights that have their own interesting mechanics and gimmicks.
The progression system guides you to where you should go to next to unlock a biome and thus the structure with the bosses. You can opt out of the progression if you so desire.
Art-wise, it keeps up with Minecraft aesthetics for sure and I recommend the new textures if playing on more modern versions as it fits better.
The only downside is that it’s currently unfinished as the Final Castle still lacks a boss and some of the structures do look outdated but the mod is very promising still.
One of my favorites
This is a classic mod I still enjoy very much to this day. It’s still under active development, which I find great considering how there are many great classic mods that have been abandoned. However, there are still some features yet to be developed (such as the much anticipated final boss).
In terms of the gameplay, the dimension as a whole is really nice and the boss battles are very fun.
In terms of aesthetics, I love the original Minecraft aesthetic, so it’s great that The Twilight Forest follows the same style. In addition to that, everything the mod adds looks beautiful.
In terms of performance and stability, I have only really played the mod in the 1.12.2 version for a long time (I plan to play the newer versions eventually), and it’s not that good on its own, but the Phosphor mod can easily fix that in 1.12.
A classic
Known for being one of the first popular dimension mods, this mod offers a decent variety of bosses. Unique attacks and gimmicks separate them from most mobs, and give them a special place in a playthrough. It is balanced around vanilla progression – most modpacks ignore this, and allow the player to get through the entire mod within an hour. Sadly, this treatment is almost universally applied to TF.
It also hasn’t changed for the better part of a decade – the final area got a sign to say it’s unfinished, a couple items were added and removed, and that’s most if not all that’s happened.
I give it 3 stars out of 5, for being a great experience the first time around, but unable to stand on its’ own compared to other dimension mods.
