This mod is just perfect. It changed my life. What can I even start with? The mobs are the best designs of extinct animals in every mod and maybe even paleo media in general. Every detail of this mod is polished as much as possible. It does every animal justice and that’s only the paleontology side, don’t get me started on the archaeology. Every stone tablet tells a small piece from a greater story that you as the player can build from. It even let’s you fight the god of nether. Simply amazing. I almost forgot to mention how this mod has custom compatibility with things like Pam’s harvest craft, JEI, tinker’s construct and many more. Simply amazing.

My only problems are:

1. The version. 1.12.2 has little features, it will be fixed in the 1.18.2 port in the future.

2. Pretty buggy, especially the feeders. That however will also be fixed in the port.

I’ve played this mod here and every time I do there is something new I discover, the amount of creatures plants, and hell even rocks is so diverse it never gets old! I mean I could play for hours on end and none of these ancient creatures get old (despite them being ancient 😉 )

I mostly play the Chronos modpack which is base around Prehistoric Nature. I found this mod very Beautiful with it hundreds/thousands trees, plants, blocks and creatures to make your builds look Beautiful with and this mod adds a lot of obscure creatures to your game so you are going to learn a lot about Prehistoric life with this mod. Prehistoric Nature has many dimensions from the Precambrian to the Triassic with a lot of life in them and Beautiful worldgen to explore (note Silurian or older don’t have the best worldgen but they are still nice to go to).

Prehistoric Nature has lovely textures for their plants, block and creatures . Prehistoric Nature Has their own style so they did not went with the jappa style which may be a deal breaker with some people but for me it is fine. Prehistoric Nature textures work very well when you go in the dimension you will see all the texture just work to bring out life or death in whatever biome you are in and for the creatures they are very well made and most of the time they go back to fix some old texture to be more up to date with the new style but most things are up to date. Prehistoric Nature keep all the their block and plants textures at 16×16 to be with Minecraft resolution.

This mod is amazing if you love Prehistoric life this is a must have but this mod is very big you need to have vintagefix to be playable mostly because this mod has a lot of models (25k+) which eat up ram. With Foam​Fix you will need to allocate at minimum 4gb but the ram usages will be at 100% so 6 is to have a stable gameplay but if you want to go to the dimensions it is recommended to have 8gb and for vintagefix it lower ram usage to 2gb ram but it is still recommended to allocate 4gb or more ram with it.

I’ve played the mod for over a year now, it is such a great mod, I have had so much fun with it, and I’ve gotten many many memories with many of the developers of the mod. oh and floi is really cool.

The mod pack has a lot to offer. The discord community is filled with helpful people. I would’ve had a lot of issues if the devs didn’t constantly make updates and fix things.

I’ve always loved SkyBlock packs, but finding one where you have long term goals to work for and don’t quickly get overwhelmed or lost is a challenge. This packs questline is written in such a great way that it’s always clear what else you have to do. You don’t have to follow it religiously, but it’s an incredible guidance to see what your next step could be if you’re low on ideas.

It’s very easy for modded skyblock to get boring when you’ve got overpowered mods and drops that generate you myriads of expensive resources in a second. It’s a difficult balance between being too easy and unneccisarily grindy- but this pack is the perfect middle ground. With lots of mods, there’s lots of ways of obtaining things, and you feel encouraged to explore those ways and automate them. You can tell how much care and consideration went into every recipie and quest, and how you **do** get that feeling that you’re making progress.

I’ve had months of fun with this pack, and played through it to completion twice. This pack is always my first reccomendation when I get asked what modpacks I’ve liked playing. The developer is also a friendly and down to earth guy, who is active in their discord and helps out when people have questions.

The only thing I’d love to see from this mod is a 1.18 version, or newer. 1.16 is starting to feel a little dated. But I understand there may be complications with updating everything and finding different mods as some dont have 1.18 versions. However, there is still thousands of hours to be had with what is here. Easilly a 10/10

Absolutely beautiful trees with a lot of compatibility mods. This single mod will make your world a lot more pretty and enjoyable to be in. Lots of attention to detail and config options. I haven’t tried it yet but I imagine Better Foliage would be a great combo. Can definitely do a number to performance, especially on servers, so keep that in mind. I recommend disabling the forest expanding feature as I’ve seen that cause performance issues.

Heightens immersion considerably! I love seeing the seasons go by, really adds a sense of time to your modpack. Pairs well with other snow and winter mods like Snow Real Magic. Bonus points if you increase the length of day and night.

It’s very difficult for me to play modded MC without this mod, it feels integral now. I have lots of memories of basing with friends early game only to move our base quite far, and all of us would grab a chest and run to the new base spot. Something about that feels so immersive and fits right into MC.

Unfortunately for some reason this mod has had so many issues over the years in multiple MC versions. Something always happens to break with it or a mod is incompatible. Many of these issues have been fixed overtime but I’m always on edge when including this in a modpack. Make sure to do some testing.

Finally, a music mod for 1.12 that does everything *and* is very stable! The GUI is super clean and easy to use, setup is a little bit of a learning curve but honestly not bad! Does everything you need it to and more, even looping tracks at certain stages. If you’re still using any other music mod for 1.12, definitely switch to Music Triggers.
