An exciting 30 minutes followed by mediocrity
Oh man did this modpack draw me in when I saw the initial nihil dimension, but the moment I got onto Earth and realized I wouldn’t be going further than that in regards to universe building, I just dropped it. If you’ve never played modded Minecraft before then this might be fun but as the modpack currently is, it just feels very generic and doesn’t really stand out. I wouldn’t recommend playing it as it currently is.
A Good Progression Modpack
It has the right amount of bosses to unlock the better gear, perfect for people who dont like tech modpacks and like rpg-like combat, it has its bugs but you can fix them very easy
very decent mod
very wild modpack with some memories mod like divine rgp 2,thauma ,… . The main quetsline is kinda sy but you can explore it on your own
Favorite modpack to this day!
Uniquely from other modpacks, this one felt like a true journey (divine “journey” lol) to me. The progression line is perfectly constructed, and even the tiny details, like Atricos writing little messages in every quest, made me feel closer to the core of the pack than just the gameplay. Played with a friend and had so much fun exploring dimensions (especially DivineRPG which is set up in an awesome way), building, and quivering with excited disbelief that we would need thousands of something we just spent hours obtaining. This is a great pack for those looking for an adventure and playing through what feels like one’s own fantastical story.
TLDR – There better be a Divine Journey 3 or else i will
Not for everyone
Greg tech new horizons is possibly one of the hardest gaming challenges you could ever participate in. It’s possible to count the number of people who’s beaten it on your hands, as it’s a several thousand hour grind as you deal with an ever growing and tangled factory.
However, it’s the very grind that drags this down. GTNH can often go at a glacial pace, and while it is usually ignored by doing things like working on magic, base building, expanding production of certain materials, often times it seems as if it’s testing your patience rather then skill. If you’re in for the long haul, you’ll love GTNH and it’s endgame. If you’re not, play Nomifactory or Super syemetry, they are far shorter and less grindy packs with still a great deal of complexity to challenge you.
Reqired reading
This modpack is honestly one of the best tools for any player wanting to get into the tech based modpacks. It spells it out confusing and weird concepts in plain English, and holds the new players hand as they get used to so many things that’s second nature to more experienced players.
So beautiful yet so horrible
This mod is absolutely one of the best mods to spice up your gameplay experience. The parasites are not only amazingly modeled and look grotesque in the best way, but are also relentless, and fighting them is a constant uphill struggle.
The evolution mechanic ensures that the parasites will continue to get stronger if you don’t deal with them, and the later mobs it spawns can even break blocks and summon more mobs.
They have a reputation of being damage sponges, but it can easily be tweaked in the configs, along with most other parts of the mod. If you’re considering playing with this, playing with freinds or as a later challenge in a pack is the best way imo

A dimension that should be in Vanilla
This mod not only add another dimension but it gives you a lore distributed in multiple letters that you can find around the world, mobs with very good animations and a very immersive environment thanks to its music and art that makes it feel like a part of vanilla Minecraft.
Not only that, but it makes everything you bring outside of its dimension (Food, weapons, armor…) useless, forcing the player to start from scratch in the dimension.
And to finish this review, it takes advantage of this to create a good progression system, with its own minerals, weapons, tools and armor in the adventure.
9-5 job sim
as entertaining as a 9-5 job but unlike one you dont get paid for doing it
A well balanced and performant modpack.
In this pack you go through different ages of technology as the main progression. This is balanced against the game’s stated difficulty and is more difficult than most expert packs out there. While the vast amount of mods may make it seem like just another poorly-made kitchen sink park, all of the mods have been changed to fit perfectly within the main progression. Even if you have played all of the mods individuals the pack provides a new experience that is aided by the amazing quest book that will teach even the newest of players how to play the game. It’s hard to find any pack that is even close to GT:NH in terms of quality and it is still receiving large content updates and performance improvements that don’t come from adding new mods, they instead come from a team of volunteers that are actively coding new parts of the game. This is what a mod pack was meant to be, not just some random machines strewn about and many more you’ll never use, instead you are forced to make a large factory and actually fix bottlenecks. The only downsides I’ve found in the pack are the mobs, as they use Infernal Mobs that can easily kill a new player but provide absolutely no danger once the player has access to a crossbow. Can’t recommend enough.
A piece of the skyfactory-fever era
I played it on a public server many years ago. I remember crashing the entire server because of chunk-loading and unstackable mob drops (sorry everyone).
Gameplay-wise it’s just your Skyfactory-like modpack, nothing more nothing less.
